Vacation Cabins

standard cabin at cabwaylingo state forestFourteen (14) rental cabins are available from mid-April through late October at Cabwaylingo State Forest. Legacy cabin features stone fireplaces constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps, electric lighting, showers and a fully equipped kitchen. All cabins are completely equipped for basic housekeeping including cooking utensils, dishes, flatware, linens, towels and firewood. Two of these cabins at Cabwaylingo State Forest are vacation cabin types and are accessible.

TheLegacy cabins are vintage CCC era accommodations that travelers today are discovering. These cabins recall a simpler time when travel gathered families together to share meals, have conversation and to get outside and enjoy the forest and trails.

NEW!  Ranger Cabin

A ranger cabin at Cabwaylingo State Forest can now be rented year-round. Overnight accommodations at the forest will now include 15 reservable cabin.  The Ranger Cabin has two bedrooms and can sleep up to five persons. Located at McClintic Group Camp on Tick Ridge Road, registered guests will have an experience of park ranger housing in the mountains.  The cabin is beside Twelve Pole stream running that runs through the forest. The cabin is fully furnished and has heating and air conditioning as well as many modern amenities. Reservations are available by calling 304-385-4255.

Dogs and cats are permitted in a limited number of cabins, call for reservations with pets.
